Organize Your Coupons and Coupon Codes

Making a store coupon organizer for your coupon codes is one of the best ways to make sure that you keep a good eye on the savings you can make with grocery coupons and other discount deals. If you do not organize your coupons well, there is a risk that you will miss out on deals, simply because you are not aware you have deals in that kind of store or shopping experience, or because you forget that you have a coupon for that particular store in the first place. You may never use every coupon you have, and if you did you might well be an obsessive. However, having some control over your coupons will help.

The most basic idea is to use envelopes. Take all the coupons you have for one sector (e.g. retail coupons) and place them in one envelope. If you have coupons for theaters etc. stick them in another envelope. If you have areas within areas, for example grocery coupons (that would fit in retail), then create another envelope especially for them. This way all you have to do is write which is which on the envelopes, and you have a handy and very effective filing system.

For many people, the expanding wallet is the best option. This is a file that you can buy from any stationery store, and this is one of the most effective ways of keeping everything neat and tidy. They don’t cost much at all, and allow you to place retail coupons in sections of the expanding wallet, and then label each section. This is great for storage, because it is all kept together and can be placed on a bookshelf.

You can of course buy a full binder, which has pockets inside it for all of your coupon needs. For example, you could place a pair of scissors inside the coupon binder, in a pocket, so that you are never at a loss when you have to cut out a coupon to take advantage of a saving. You can also use a binder if you have a large collection of store coupons. We get these every day, and many of us just leave them in the kitchen somewhere. However, if they all went into a binder, and were sorted according to their use, you could have a vast array of coupon codes at your disposal without the headache of frantically looking for them every time you want them.
